We made it!...sort of.

Blegh.

I'm tired and I'm cranky.

Looking at flights does that to me. My youngest sister is getting married in April and to be honest I think my trip to Germany was cheaper and easier than this one is going to be.

To make it worse, I wont' even have time to participate in a race with my Dad and sister Megan while I'm out there.

In other news...

I met Ryan Hall on Saturday!

It was weird...partly because I couldn't think of anything else to say to him but "Thank you for coming"...

Plus, the knowledge that I thought last years Boston Marathon where he placed 4th was boring in the mens division and I didn't watch it. (The womens was fantastic!)

It was followed up with some of the most beautiful running weather we've had in MONTHS! I almost over dressed though...habits die hard.

We ran about 12 mile and then decided to walk...for 5 miles...

What can I say? Our heads just weren't in the run.

Amy was all for turning around at about mile 6.5 but I countered with just getting our miles in and not caring about our pace.

Which is exactly what we did:)

We had both been dealing with some sickness this week so maybe that had something to do with it.

We knew we were having trouble when we had run for about an hour with out saying anything to each other. It might surprise you but Amy and I like to talk...a lot:)

I guess this just illustrates how much mental strength is in running. It can really make or break a run. It also shows how much help a running buddy makes in helping each person reach at least part of the days goal.

Sometimes pace doesn't matter. I ran with friends this weekend and through goal pace out the window. It has to happen sometimes! If you aren't having fun, then what's the point?

That run was zero fun. Thanks for sticking with me. I'm so grateful for my running buddy.

I'm grateful for my running buddy too:)

It wasn't necessarily a bad run for me, but I didn't mind walking either:)
