For the Rock N' Roll 1/2 Marathon this Saturday!
It feel a little weird to have just finished my marathon after training for 4 months and then turn around and have another race to run...I'm sure I'll get over it though.
Yesterday was my Speed workout with Amy so I strapped on my super cool racing flats (Seriously why did it take me so long to buy a pair?) actually remembered to no only charge my Garmin but also bring it with me.
I know, right?!
Our workout was perfect for the week before a race:)
6 X 400 meters with 400 meters recovery.
Amy and I were walking for longer than we were running:) 'Cause that's how we roll.
I was really happy with my paces, and the fact that I was pretty consistant with my splits!
I think maintaining an even pace, is the hardest thing about running...other than running.
My goal pace was 6:26
My splits were:
6:10, 6:13, 6:12, 6:15, 6:15, 6:09
I like that I was able to finish just a little bit faster than I started:)
