It's been a good day

I got up at 7:15am this morning even though I am NOT a morning person and would really rather stay in my nice warm bed. Instead I headed across town to vohttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.giflunteer at a local race.

Turn Back the Clock 5k & 10k

It was foggy and cold!

and great:)

I got to cheer all my friends who were running it as well as all the other cool people who got up this morning and tied on their shoes.

Several people did their first 10K of their lives this morning and some just got their tails kicked by people older than them *cough* Wade *cough*.

On Friday I met a lady at the local running store who told me she was running her first 10K race and was raising money for a local firehouse. I got to see her at mile 1 AND at mile 4.75. She was so determined it was fantastic! I got to run the last mile with her:)

Her name is Nora and I think she's a little awesome. I'm also hopping she comes running with us some time.

I saw so many young kids running in the 5k and 10k races, which I LOVE! For some reason it's easy to think the distance is to far for them and then to see them out and running, I just LOVE it!

I totally cry when I watch little kids run in races. What's wrong with me?!
