It's been pretty good today:)

I've had a pretty nice weekend and the start of this week hasn't been too shabby either!

First bright and early my alarm went off and I had to convince myself that getting out of my warm bed to purposely go running in the freezing cold on a route with known "Water Hazards". But I did. I drug myself out of bed, got my running clothes on and met up with the club at Pioneer Park.

It was so cold that there was enough frost on the grass that it stuck in the treads of our shoes and made it very slippery for running. Did I mention it was really cold? Well it got colder at the first hazard where I was awesome enough to avoid getting ONE shoe wet. The other one was really wet and really cold...for about 5 minutes, until I met the second water hazard where I figured "in for a penny, in for a pound" and just plowed through knee deep freezing water with chunks of ice floating in it.

For some reason I thought it would be better to be running with TWO wet feet.
It was cold alright? I wasn't thinking clearly.

It wasn't the greatest race. I don't think I really like Cross Country running. I still say if Bill had put up a fire to jump over I would have been all over it.

Oh, and Heather beat me. again.
Over the course of the 3 races she was 13 seconds faster than me...dang it!

I read Amy's post on this... You guys are crazy!!!! (But of course, that just means I love you all the more! :) )

Hopefully you were wearing pants and didn't get all sliced up by all the ice in those "water" hazards.
