Amy and I had to re-schedule our Long run from Saturday to Friday right after work.
It was a beautiful day!
I had a cold and so did Amy.
I also seem to either have the beginnings of Shin Splints or mangled calve muscles...maybe both.
We started out but within a couple of miles Amy's heart started racing and she was breathing heavier than she should have been given how fast (or not) we were running. To be honest I wasn't feeling it either. My shins hurt and my calves have been hurting for days.
It's also really hard to run when your nose is all stuffed up. Luckily for me, I'm a mouth breather:)
We decided to cut our run short and I thought a great idea would be to run past Bonjour Cupcakes and "carb up" for a fast recovery:) I had thoughtfully packed $10 bill in my Fuel Belt.
BEST IDEA EVER.
We even managed to run 9 miles out of our planed 18 so it wasn't a total loss. And as we got in the car it started raining, so a double win for us.
