I felt good on Monday when Amy, Heather and I ran 5 miles. It was an easy pace, and I was a little sore but I felt good!
Tuesday I met with a group who does another speed work out that I lead and even though I didn't run quite as much as I usually do on Tuesdays but I still felt pretty good...I do seem to have a shin splint.
Just one.
I feel all lopsided right now.
I met up with Club Oly Running for my usual 5 mile run. I took Grace (my dog) with me to make sure I didn't get any ideas about going too fast. Grace doesn't like running any faster than about a 7:45 minute mile, although she would rather stay around an 8:00-8:30 minute mile.
I got to run with some new friends Coleen, and Sariney and get to know them a little better. To be honest I like my "down" weeks because it gives me a chance to run with people I don't normally get the chance to, and that's one of the things I love about running.
I also got to run with Niki and Kristin. Nikie and I both had the great idea to run with our dogs in an effort to take the edge off the little rascals. (Niki runs with a beautiful Rottweiler. Both Grace and I love Rottie's!)
Oh, and Happy National Running Day!

You did a better job at recovery than I did.
I could have lent you Grace to act as an drag line.
I just make it a point to talk to people whos pace I want to run. Otherwise I'll go too fast.
