A little Long Run and some thingies!

This week was a "down" week in my marathon training.

That means I "only" had to run 13 miles this weekend!

Amy was willing to run 8 miles with me but wanted to run at a "decent" hour so I got up and ran 5 miles before we met up.

It wasn't an interesting route to say the least, but it got the job done.

"Long Lake Loop + To The Farmers Market and Back"

Two of the go-to routes in the area.

Amy forgot to bring water, but I had my (water) on me so no problem.  She also forgot to eat breakfast...which I would have had covered if I had remembered the Gummies I had in my car for that very run!

Oh, well.

It seems like most lessons you learn in running, you learn the hard way:)

After the run we reminisced about another "only" run that left me without breakfast and Amy practically holding my hand while we "ran" and dragging me back to her place.

After my run, I rushed home, showered and got ready for people to come over so we could make Bib/Medal Holders!

(I have no idea what else to call them...thingies?"

Chrissy gives our Free High Fives all day long!

I didn't get a photo of everyone's holder, but these are a few.

You can just see mine in the back. it's the purple one that says "This is what fun feels like".  Just a little saying that Amy and I joke about during those long miles when you're asking yourself..."why"?

This is Bobbie's bib holder- pretty snazzy!

Carla came over and did the painting but she has a Cricket so she decided to do the wording at home.

Everybody loved your idea for stripes! They sure fancied the holders up:)

Thanks for coming too- I know crafts aren't really your "thing" :)

Oh, and for running with me on Saturday!
